Healthier Homemade Nutella

This choco-hazelnut spread does not taste exactly like Nutella, but you will feel healthy and satisfied eating it! It's definitely worth a try!

Equipment

  • food processor or blender

Ingredients

  • 3 cups roasted hazelnuts
  • 1-2 tbsps maple syrup depending how big your sweet tooth is
  • 1 tsp vanilla powder or vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 2/3 cup dark chocolate

Instructions

  • Melt dark chocolate (the easiest way to do this is by placing it in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between each, until the chocolate is melted)
  • If your hazelnuts are raw, place them on a baking sheet. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake for 15 minutes
  • Add hazelnuts to food processor and blend.
  • Add remaining ingredients to food processor: maple syrup, vanilla, sea salt, and melted dark chocolate.
  • Blend until you get desired texture for your chocolate-hazelnut spread. Enjoy as a dip for your fruit or as a spread on your toast!
