Loaded Yogurt Bowl

I love a loaded or elevated anything recipe! This loaded yogurt bowl is packed with fruits, berries, nuts, seeds, and granola, but it can be customized to your liking. I like to change up the berries and fruit depending on the season, but I try to consistently include granola, walnuts, chia seeds, and honey for protein, fiber, omega-3s, and dash of sweetness.
And I especially love this recipe for breakfast because it supports healthy digestion and can help benefit your mental health as it contains the 5 mood foods:
- Polyphenols: Berries
- Tryptophan: Walnuts
- Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Chia seeds & Walnuts
- Prebiotic Fiber: Granola & Banana
- Probiotic: Yogurt

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain yogurt I like the European style one from Trader Joes, but you can also use your favorite Greek yogurt or Skyr for added protein
  • 1/2 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 handful granola
  • 1 small handful walnuts
  • 1/2 tsp Ceylon cinnamon for antioxidants!
  • 1 tsp raw unfiltered honey
  • 1 handful fruits or berries raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, etc.
  • 1/2 sliced banana

Instructions

  • Add your yogurt into a bowl
  • Mix chia seeds into yogurt bowl and let it sit for 10 minutes (this makes the chia seeds easier to digest)
  • Top the yogurt bowl with granola, walnuts, banana, and berries
  • Sprinkle cinnamon and drizzle honey on top
  • Indulge in the sweet, nutritious, loaded yogurt bowl!
